Analyst Accountability

A pick only reaches MantisPicks if it earned its way in. This is what "earned its way in" actually means.

1. Every pick settles in public

Every analyst's pick is logged the moment it's published and settled from the official match result the moment the game finishes. Wins and losses both. Nothing gets quietly deleted and no result is "under review" indefinitely. See the running record on /results.

2. Analysts are graded on ROI, not win-rate

Win-rate rewards favourite-only tipping and punishes genuinely profitable value picks. We grade our analysts on ROI (profit per unit staked) over their own settled picks. Not on marketing numbers, not on a demo sample — only on calls that have actually landed on MantisPicks and finished.

3. Hot weeks don't earn promotion

A short winning streak isn't a signal — it's noise. Ratings are shrunk toward neutral until there's enough settled sample to wash out variance. A new analyst with eight wins in a row stays rated close to neutral. A long-run performer with hundreds of settled picks earns the top spot.

4. Ratings are per odds band

A sharp eye on heavy favourites rarely transfers to picking value longshots — the skills aren't the same. Each analyst is graded separately on WIN (odds ≤ 1.80), OVERALL (2.60-3.49) and ROI (≥ 3.50). That's why the three feeds don't share analysts, and why the ROI band earns a VIP tier of its own.

5. Approaches that stop earning are retired

No favourites, no "give it another chance." If an analyst's record on a band stops producing ROI, their picks on that band stop shipping. The rule is applied the same way every time, every cycle.
