MantisPicks respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who we are

MantisPicks (mantispicks.com) is an independent sports analytics and content platform. We do not accept bets. We publish free predictions and reviews. For privacy-related questions, contact info@mantispicks.com.

2. What we collect

• Automatic data: pages viewed, referrer URL, approximate IP-based location (country/city), device type, browser, timestamp. Collected via our own server logs.
• Analytics data: aggregated visit counts and traffic sources (via Cloudflare Analytics — anonymous, no personal identifiers).
• Newsletter data: email address you submit, plus the date you subscribed. Nothing else. You can unsubscribe from every email.
• Contact data: anything you write in an email to us.

We do NOT collect: full name, phone number, payment details, government ID, or gambling account balance.

3. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies:

• Essential: age-verification flag, cookie-consent choice, dark-mode preference. These do not track you.
• Analytics (with your consent): Cloudflare aggregated visitor counts. No personal data.
• Affiliate referral (with your consent): when you click through to a bookmaker, that operator may set its own cookie to attribute your visit. This is done by the operator, not us.

You choose your cookie preferences on your first visit. You can change your choice any time by clearing your browser data for our domain.

4. How we use data

• To show you MantisPicks and remember your preferences.
• To understand which content is useful (aggregated, never per-user).
• To send the newsletter, if you signed up.
• To respond to your emails.
• To report affiliate revenue with the operators we link to.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (running MantisPicks) and consent (analytics, affiliate, newsletter).

5. Sharing

We do NOT sell your data. We share it only with:

• Cloudflare — hosting and CDN provider (data centre in EU).
• Newsletter provider (Mailchimp / SendGrid) — only if you subscribe.
• Bookmakers — only via your own click on an affiliate link, and only what your browser sends the operator directly.

6. Retention

• Server logs: 30 days.
• Aggregated analytics: 12 months.
• Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe.
• Contact emails: 2 years then deleted.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Rectify — correct wrong data.
• Erase — ask us to delete it ("right to be forgotten").
• Restrict — limit how we use it.
• Object — opt out of any processing.
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Complain — to your national data-protection authority. For Cyprus visitors: Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.

To exercise any right, email info@mantispicks.com. We respond within 30 days.

8. Security

All traffic is HTTPS. We store no passwords or payment data. Server access is limited to authorised personnel. In the unlikely event of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the relevant authority within 72 hours as required by GDPR.

9. Children

MantisPicks is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have data about a minor, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page and, for newsletter subscribers, by email. The "Last updated" date at the top always shows the current version.
