Turn rates into a probability
A scoring rate is not the same as a bet. Convert it into a probability using the league’s average goals per game — high-tempo leagues raise the baseline, low-tempo leagues lower it. Only bet when that probability beats the odds; that is where the edge lives.
Practical tips
- High-tempo leagues (Bundesliga, Eredivisie) skew Over; tactical mid-table matchups (Serie A, Ligue 1) skew Under.
- Derbies and title deciders tend to go Under — caution wins out.
- Always check team news: a missing striker moves the total a lot.
- Injuries to a starting keeper on the favorite side almost always shifts value to Over.
